Letter to Harding Families to Start Second Semester
Dear Harding Families,
We can’t believe that it is second semester already. Thank you for your continued partnership throughout semester one! When our students arrive Tuesday, January 19th their morning routine will be a little different. Any students who eat breakfast at school must go straight to the cafeteria. There will be a 7:00 shift for students who ride early buses and a 7:20 shift for other students. Students who do not eat breakfast at school will report directly to the appropriate grade level location.
Grade Level Locations- Starting Tuesday, January 19th:
- 8th Grade students will report to the gym.
- 7th Grade students will report to the east side of the auditorium.
- 6th Grade students will report to the west side of the auditorium.
- Students will not be released from the auditorium or gym to the cafeteria to eat. Therefore, students who eat breakfast at school must go directly to the cafeteria upon arrival. Students will be dismissed from their respective locations to Advisory next to help students get prepared for each day! Students have already been informed of this new procedure.
Help Remind Your Students to Follow our CPR Expectations!
Please know that the staff at Harding is working hard to ensure that all Harding students have access to high quality instruction on a daily basis in every classroom. In order for us to accomplish this, please help your student(s) to understand and comply with our behavior expectations. As I have shared in previous messages, we have a CPR System with a focus on students being collaborative, professional, and respectful in all areas of our building and beyond.
Please talk with your student(s) about the following areas that we consider to be essential to create an optimal learning environment for your student(s):
Students must be on time for school. School starts at 7:40, and please encourage professional and timely attendance to all classes.
Students will not be allowed to leave class the first 10 minutes or last 10 minutes of class, unless there is an extenuating circumstance. This expectation helps your student(s) engage in instruction immediately, and not miss critical information.
Students must leave campus within 10 minutes of dismissal. In order to ensure adequate supervision, students must be off of campus by 2:40 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesdays, campus must be cleared at 1:10.
Students must use appropriate language while at school. Please talk to your student(s) about your expectations that appropriate language be used at home and school.
Students must comply with adult direction at all times. In order for Harding staff to create an environment where learning is a priority at all times, students must comply with adult direction by focusing on our CPR expectations.
If you would like to schedule an appointment with administration, please call Harding. Because the Harding Administration will be focused on supporting the needs of students all day, please make every effort to contact the Harding office at 242-8445 to schedule an appointment with the grade level administrator if you have questions or concerns regarding your student(s).
6th Grade- Jason Snow, Vice Principal

We are honored to work with your student(s) every day, and we take pride in their accomplishments. We invite you to praise your student(s) for being on time, using appropriate language, and complying with adult direction. We will be doing the same here at Harding second semester!
